No, it’s not an egg gone bad. No, it’s not the famous Thousand Year Egg either (which looks like you should never touch it with a stick but is actually quite nice with some fresh tofu and soy sauce… Hmm, will have to look around for it…). It’s an egg that’s been boiled hard, had the shell slightly cracked and then was put in black tea, possibly mixed with some spices. The cracks are supposed to produce a nice marble-like effect, but I think I got a wrong egg as I didn’t see anything particularly artistic.

 And why put your egg in tea in the first place, you’ll ask?

No idea, tasted completely normal.

Maybe just a tiny bit worse than usual…
